YOUTH SPORTS SUMMER CAMPS
YMCA Sports Camps
are an
excellent way for young athletes to spend their summers. Focusing
on the
fundamentals, YMCA Sports Camps are perfect for athletes of
all skill levels and with seven different theme
weeks, there’s
something for everybody. For 3 ½ hours every day, we will focus on
skills, drills, and the
importance of teamwork. Each week will
include special guests, offsite trips, and each day will end with a
fun competition and awards. Whether your camper is new to sports, a
seasoned vet, or somewhere
in-between, YMCA Sports Camps are a
perfect choice for your child!
Week 1 June 13-17
Disc Sports
Kick off
the summer with an introduction to disc sports. This week will
consist of a combination of Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf.
Participants will learn the rules of the games and win awards
participating in tournaments and skills competitions throughout the
week.

Week 2 June 20-24
SPIRIT Week
Each day
will focus on different skills and techniques in cheerleading,
gymnastics, dance, volleyball and fitness. (Located at YMCA)
Week 3 June 27-July 1
Game Week
Have a ball
playing different games every day of the week like Capture the Flag,
Kickball, Bowling, Wiffle Ball, and Track & Field.
Finish the week
off with a day full of Track and Field events and an awards
ceremony. (Located at Wildwood Park)
Week 4 July 11-July 15
Basketball
Develop
your skills with a week dedicated to hooping at the YMCA. Every day
will begin with skill development and end with a
different
competition or tournament. (Located at YMCA)
Week 5 July 25-29
Game Week
Have a ball
playing different games every day of the week like Capture the Flag,
Kickball, Bowling, Wiffle Ball, and Track & Field.
Finish the week
off with a day full of Track and Field events and an awards
ceremony. (Located at Wildwood Park)
Week 6 August 1-5
Strength Camp
Work on
improving strength, agility, speed, power, aerobic capacity &
flexibility. Certified Personal trainers will be working with you
to
push you to your best potential. (Located at YMCA)
Week 7
August 8-12 Flag Football
Start off
with an NFL style combine and develop your football skills
throughout the week. Each day will end with skills competitions
and
tournaments. End the week on Friday with an all-out 7-on-7
tournament. (Located at Wildwood Park)
Ages:
1st grade and older
Cost:
$35/week (member) $45/week (nonmember)
Space is limited to 30 participants per age group per
week.
Registration for all weeks is open NOW!
For outdoor camps, dress appropriately.
For indoor camps please wear clean gym shoes and
shorts.
All equipment will be provided by YMCA.
