Payment Plans

1. Payment in full by cash, check, Master Card, Visa, Discover or American Express.
2. Bank draft. At no extra cost. The YMCA will deduct automatic monthly payments from your            checking or savings account. Pay 1 month plus joiners fee down at time of purchase.
3. Non-sufficient funds for personal checks and bank drafts will be referred to a collection agency and will be assessed an additional charge.

Financial Assistance

YMCAs are for people of all genders, faiths, races, abilities, ages, and income. Thanks to the United Way of Wapello County and the Ottumwa YMCA Partner With Youth Campaign, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. Scholarship Applications are available at the Member Service Desk. Money raised through the Partner With Youth Campaign subsidizes YMCA programs and services for kids, teens and families in the Ottumwa area.

Welcome to the Ottumwa YMCA where we build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. If you are an employee of Hedrick's Savings Bank, Excel Meat Solutions, Cargill Incorporated, or John Deere Incorporated you are eligible for a corporate membership. Corporate members receive a free single adult membership as long as they come 10 times a month. If your family would like to join all you pay is the difference of $12.11 between a single membership and a family membership.

Child Watch    

Want to workout, but don't know what to do with your children?  The YMCA offers a fun, safe environment for them to hang out while you get into shape.  The Child Watch is staffed by professional certified employees, and is open to children 6 weeks to 8 years.  Limited to 20 children.  Parents/Guardians must remain in the YMCA, children must be signed in and out, and shoes must be taken off before entering.

Hours:

Mon-Thurs: 8:30a-11:00a   4:30p-8:00p

Friday: 8:30a-11:00a

Saturday: 8:30a-10:30a

$1.00 per hour 1st child-- $0.50 per hour each additional child 

Punch card available--  $15.00 for 30 punches

                                                                                                                                               Sick Policy                                                                                                                         1.  If your child has a temperature of 100.7 or greater they must be taken home and cannot return for 24 hours.                                                                                                  2.  If your child has 2 diarrhea incidents in one hour or 3 in two hours they must be taken home.                                                                                                                                  3.  If your child has pink eye they cannot return without a doctors note.

Y Members who have out of town guests (outside of a 50-mile radius) may bring them for free 3 times per year.

The YMCA is part of a national reciprocal membership program called “Always Welcome at a YMCA” (AWAY). If you are visiting another city that has a participating YMCA, you may use the facility either free or at a reduced rate with your membership card. See YMCA membership desk for details.
